Dalila Belato

Palermo, 1985.

Dalila Belato was born in Palermo and graduated from the Art Institute and later dedicated her studies to stone restoration, but continued to keep her interest in sculpture and modeling alive.

Belato devotes herself to the study of human anatomy, realizing works depicting parts of the body – such as faces, feet and hands – reinventing a universal language in a personal, innovative and
ironic way.

His works are of a realism that goes as far as the particularities of the skin, arriving in the faces to capture, as a snapshot, expressions of great vitality.

Her sculptures are made using mixed techniques and hybrid materials, with the use of final patinas that, depending on the case, make them similar to bronze, marble and iron.

In 2015, Belato won the Sculpture Section Award of Expo ArteItaliana curated by Vittorio Sgarbi in Varedo (MI).

He lives and works in Palermo.
